Continue down the western side of the Caples on grassy flats on a well traveled poled track to Mid Caples Hut.

A good well used poled track runs up grassy flats from Caples hut. After 3km a prominent stream descends on the opposite (eastern) valley side. This is the outflow of the Sleepy Hollow lake.
