1.5km before the end of the road at the trig, the road makes it's last swing west round an unnamed, unnumbered peak. At the saddle to the south of this, an old, overgrown logging track enters from the east. This is the start of the route down the Mangamate.

The road is passable by ATV, but not up to 4WD standard.
