From Kime Hut, a well-worn trench of a track heads north over Hut Mound to Bridge Peak, where a signposted track junction marks the turnoff for the Main Range east/north.

(For those heading further east/north along the main range, a poled route also cuts off the corner from Hut Mound to the eastern edge of Bridge Peak, but is not recommended in poor visibility)
