The quickest route between Moonlight and Roses hut and Junction Hut is along the spur which connects the two. From Junction Hut climb the scrubby spur east of the hut to the ridgeline. Follow the easy open ridgeline north to pt1414. From here descend the tussock faces to the bushedge at Moonlight and Roses Hut which is visible below.
