Cross the river from the grassy flats at the Snowy River camp and head up the narrow spur opposite. The river is knee deep in normal flows and easily floods.

A good, steep ground trail exists up the spur. The spur soon disappears into a face, which you follow up through open bush until you reach the crest of a spur climbing west-east. Follow this uphill (east) - the route is lightly marked with tape - to pt594. A large tree on the summit marked with danger tape marks the intersection of this route from the snowy with that heading up the main ridge from the Tregar/Snowy confluence to Kime Hut
