You don't have much of a view of anything from the track on Green Lake saddle, but if you scramble a short distance up the hill to the north a magnificent panorama out over Green Lake is your reward. Follow the track into the trees on the west side of the saddle and follow the track as it sidles downwards to eventually reach near the lake shore. Clear the trees and walk a short distance along the waters edge. A letter box marks the start of a short board walk which leads to Green Lake Hut.
